Mod Support

Host Anvil servers support full integration with Steam Workshop mods and collections. Whether you're running a small co-op mission or a full-scale modded MILSIM environment, our panel makes mod installation and management easy.

Workshop Integration

Through the panel, you can:

  • Install individual Steam Workshop mods using their Workshop ID
  • Install entire Workshop collections automatically
  • Set up mod download tasks with a visual manager
  • Avoid CLI headaches — no SteamCMD knowledge required

We handle downloading, extraction, and linking to your server container.

File Size Limits

To ensure consistent performance and protect container quotas:

  • Each individual mod file is limited to 30GB max
  • You can queue multiple mods or a full collection as long as no single mod exceeds that size
  • Mods larger than 30GB can be installed manually via FTP or through support
INFO

Mod files over 30GB are uncommon — most Arma 3 mods stay well below this. Contact support if you need help installing unusually large total conversions.

Getting Started

  1. Go to your game panel
  2. Select the server you want to manage
  3. Open the Workshop Manager
  4. Paste the Workshop ID or Collection ID
  5. Click Install

Mods will be downloaded and stored inside your server's mods/ directory. Signatures (.bikey) are automatically copied to the keys/ folder.

Tips

  • Ensure all mod folder names start with @ (e.g., @ace, @rhs_usf)

  • After installation, use our Mod String Generator to create your server startup -mod parameter

  • Restart the server after adding or removing mods to apply changes
